Foam Planer
This Foam Planer comes with Carbide Blades or a Wire Brush, 24" or 16" models available. The ideal look to flush finish any spray applied polyurethane foam. A basic, durable instrument to complement existing urethane spray equipment for all work or trades requiring flat smooth finished surfaces. The wire brush and blade are 3 1/8" x 16 or 24" long. The wire brush and unbreakable carbide blade are interchangeable, both carried in standard Fafnir ball bearings for easy maintenance. Drive motor is in the handle for ease of use.
Nylon brushes are for cutting sprayed 1/2 pound closed and/or open cell foam. The blades are much too aggressive for this type of foam. The blades chew up studs! The blade model is to be used on 2-10 pound closed cell foam applied to roofs, commercial cold storage, commercial vessel fish holding tanks, etc.

Requirements:
The air motor operates most efficiently when air pressure is maintained at 125 psi. An air compressor able to deliver 23.0 CFM is necessary. Incoming air should be dry, clean and filtered. 3/4" line from compressor, last 20' use 1/2" airline. Lubricate this tool at least once every 8 hours by pouring a small quantity of air motor oil through the air inlet.
